Can anyone tell me what the protein count for GBS is in the spianal tap test?
I think I remember 12 or 13 but I can’t remember if it is better above or below the magic number.
A young woman has come to my attention at Church with a rather sudden case of stumbling. The doc’s seem to “[I]think[/I]” MS but…
I know all the other tests, it’s just the spinal tap that escapes me.

and our returning “Family Members.” This site was down for way to long and I suspect we all were very upset by this, But we are back now and we will be stronger for it. This site is a Godsend for all the people entering here and I hope we all continue our fight to get the word out about GBS/CIDP.

This sure is an active forum. Everyone seems to be hooking back up. I was diagnosed with CIDP while the site was down and used the UK site for a few questions.
Last week I had my first treatment, 5 days of IVIG, and am a my old self again. I can walk, step up on a curb, go up stairs, get up out of a chair without help – things I used to take for granted.
My husband and I had planned a trip to Italy before I came down with this. I am wondering if I should strike while the iron is hot and go before I start having symtoms again.
Did any of you with CIDP recover after IVIG treatment. What can I expect?
And Thank You Kit for being my lamp in the darkness when things were worse.
Since we haven’t been online for a long time, I want to thank everyone who posted at the old forums for my March 9th Birthday. I did get a chance to read most of them before the site went down, but never got to thank you all.

help me……….forgive me but i am in bad bad shape. ineed to know if anyone has or seen trhis. read my story to know where i was a month ago.
i cannot leave because no ramp at my house. been telling people since december i had to have one. 2 times monthly i should get shots and stuff for bad blood and none since december. i just spiraled way down in the past wedk. no one got me pain pills and they help me live right. i am back to barley able to move, haedcley any feeling loss like before with the GBS. i have a hard time thinking, my lungs and heart has stopped for 10 seconds 3 times in the past 2 days. thie fellings lost with GBS the first time are still here now. anyone ever had a relappose like this with GBS or is it more one of my other problems.
i am waiting till thy put my ramp up to go sed a neuro. wont do the ER ccause them assholes don’t know nuthing much evef. and because no ramp i would end up at another nursing home and people will die this time or screwing me…………sorrty passing out bye

Oh my gosh, I am sooo happy the forums are back online. I checked several times everyday but never got in.
