Prayers…
Brandy,
So nice to see someone from the “old Forum”, not too many around anymore. I will definitely say a prayer for Frank, have been praying for so many lately, will add him tonight. Five years already, seems like yesterday, am glad your life is going well.
Blessings, Pam

Carla,
I was taken off all treatments for CIDP in 2003 and have been in a remission since that time. I’ve remained stable and show no signs of a relapse or progression returning again. You and Emily will panic at little things that will happen but after I got over that fear, my instincts or gut feelings clicked right in and I’ve learned to trust those feelings. One of those “just know” feelings. I will know the difference between a relapse and what I think of as expected residuals.
You are only in a remission when you can stay off all treatments. If you are staying stable month after month, year after year with treatments being done it is not a remission.
I sometimes feel like I no longer have CIDP.
Emily is in my prayers.

Cookiegirl, We are all so sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose your spouse and typical to feel somewhat mixed emotions–sorrow for the loss and also gladness that he is no longer suffering and struggling. I hope that you can come to know how comforting the last words that he heard you say were regarding hoping that he could sit up and breathe better and that his last words to you were that he was okay. As others have said, when it is ones time to die, one will die. A blood clot can be very fast–this can be sad because loved ones do not get a chance to say goodbye, but it is also with little suffering at the time of death of the one who passes on. I pray for peace for you and your family in this time when loss is so strong.

Cheryl,
I do believe in the “laying on of hands” and this is what your family here is doing when we link together to pray for someone. You are being your dad’s Angel First Class right now. If you need to talk to someone and need a shoulder to lean on just click on anyone of us.

Donna,
Your sister will be in my prayers when I go to bed tonight and I will pray that it is God’s will you have your sister longer. This hits home with me because my sister died eleven years ago and I miss her so very much. We were told that she had a massive heart attack, but I believe it was an embolism which started when she fell from her horse.
