This was something else that we had on the old forum. We can start off by keeping DOCDAVID in our prayers. DOCDAVID found a purpose in life, he was a godsend to our forum.
Pray for Pep’s sister-in-law. She is going through a horrific illness. You can read what Pep wrote in MAIN FORUM under NEED ADVICE.
My prayers are with you both.

Please say a few prayers for my father-in-law. he was dx with non-hodgkins lymphoma last week. he is in bad shape. today he saw his onocologist again, the good news is he only has 4 masses in his liver, his heart, lungs and brain are good. my husband and that side of my family are trying to stay positive-but as many here know its really hard to do. dad’s chances are even as of last week, he had a chest port placed monday and has one more test before they can start chemo.

Yes, I did and remembered a thread on then UK site that mentioned his illness and recovery. Might I add a prayer wish for my neighbors in Lancaster County, PA. For the Amish families who have lost loved one and for the little girls still hurting and also for Charles Roberts, may he find peace in heaven..Amen

Docdavid, the 5 girls who died in Lancaster were young Amish children in a one room school house. There are 5 other young Amish girls from the same school in the hospital suffering from gun shot wounds. Names unknown because of their ages. They are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thankyou for keeping my stepdad in your prayers. I thought we lost him this afternoon. He was unable to breathe, but the doctor was there and with medication he’s still with us. He doesn’t want to be on a respirator so it’s just a wait and see for now…Vicki

Please say a prayer for my cat Chloe.
We adopted her from an animal rescue group 3 months ago. Someone had abandoned her and she was living on the street. Some other people started leaving food out for her, but they had 3 dogs. The dogs turned on her one day and injured her very badly, nearly killing her. She was taken to the vet and patched up and put in foster care for 8 months until we adopted her.
In spite of everything she has been through, she’s sweet and affectionate.
We had hoped to give her a loving home for many more years. She is now very ill. The vet thinks she has advanced lung cancer. We are taking her for a sonogram and other tests tomorrow. If the diagnosis is indeed lung cancer, there is no treatment.
I believe that God cares for all creatures great and small. We are praying for her and hope that whatever happens, we will do what’s best for Chloe.

Hello Suzanne,
I am one person who will pray for a beloved pet. My namesakes here, CODY and STANLEY, were my dogs, my “babies”. I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, parakeets, guinea pigs, a horse, etc. If your kitty does not make it, at least she will go with the feel of a loving hand. I believe that our pets wait for us in heaven.
From my heart,
Liz -

My prayers for Chloe, we are all God’s creatures and it is with our help and understanding that our pets are humanely treated. If Chloe has a bad dx then we will pray that she joins all our pets in heaven. She will meet up with my Bridgette, Brandy, Holly and Lilly and Wolfie (dogs) and Mairen and Midnight (cats) who will welcome her with open paws and keep her in your stead.

Suzanne – I’ll keep Chloe in my prayers. I’m a cat person and grew up with mostly cats but also dogs and birds, so I know how you feel.
Vicki – I’ll say a prayer for your family. I hope your mother is coping well. I know it has to be a really difficult time for her right now.
Per – Hey stranger! How’ve you been? Well, I hope! Please give Deb my regards!
Love,
Shannon

Friends,
My news tonight is sad. Our cat Chloe did indeed have advanced lung cancer that had effected other organs.
Although we only had her for 3 months, we truly did love her, and did the best we could be help her. Unfortunately, the diagnosis meant that there was no treatment, and her future would only hold pain and suffering.
My husband and I went to the hospital tonight to help escort her out of this world. We took some of our clothing for her to lay on, so she would have familiar scents, instead of just hospital smells. The hospital was kind enough to provide a private room for us to be alone with her, to say goodbye.
When adopted her 3 only months ago, from the animal rescue group, her “foster” mom said she was friendly, but never purred. Since we adopted her, she had been purring a lot. Even when she was very ill, and purring caused her to pant, she still did when we petted her.
The thing that really touched our hearts was that when the vet brought her out for us to say goodbye, even though she was so sick, she stilll began to purr when we she saw us.
She was such a sweet, brave little girl, right to the end. She left this life peacefully, and in the arms of people who loved her dearly. It was such a blessing to us to have been able to help her, when she really needed us most.
Many people don’t understand how it is possible to love an animal as much as you can love a human. They have missed one of the truly fullfilling experiences in life.
Thank all of you so much for your prayers and comforting words.
Sadly,
Suzanne

Suzanne,
I’m so sorry for your loss. Your baby was so lucky to have you and your husband for mommy and daddy, if only for three short months. You made the final weeks of her life very special and happy for her, and I know she is watching over you from Heaven.
May God Bless and Comfort You,
Shannon

Suzanne,
I understand you can love a pet as though it was your beloved child, my CODY and STANLEY were my babies. Your Chloe is in heaven now, no more pain. She’s not alone, there are many of our “pet angels” to watch over her. I do truely believe that our pets go to heaven and will run across the RAINBOW BRIDGE when they see us coming. Just listen quietly for Chloe’s purrs now.
From my heart,
Liz -

I have a “knot” in my throat right now after reading all this!!!! Brings back soooo many memories of all my lost pets. It really “hurts”…………I know from experience. You are a very kind person, Suzanne, and Chloe knows that. She will be “waiting” for you….:)
Perry
P.S. And, Shannon, you too……”the stranger”! 🙂 I have been fine. And what about you? We may have to PM or email……………….lot of catching up to do!! Deb is fine………..I will tell her you said “Hi”. Oh, and how is Ben?……………Duh! We wouldn’t have met, if it wasn’t for his “unfortunate” demise, now, would we ??? (was that a grammatically correct sentence?)…..same ole me 🙂 -

Suzanne, as you know cats only purr when they are truly happy, you made her truly happy. Chloe will be with you in the winds you feel, always there you just can’t see her. You made the right decision for her and it is the hardest decision to make. You both have big hearts, you gave a cat a wonderful home and life, Chloe had 3 months of love that she would not have had if it wasn’t for you. Big Hugs to both of You.

Since I was a child I was always surrounded by pets. Sometimes when I close my eyes I go to a beautiful place and there they are: I can really feel their soft fur, hear them purr or see the things that made them so unique.
Suzanne, I know it hurts right now, but Chloe is not really gone. Everytime you close your eyes you will see she is still with you. -

Friends,
You have all given me a great deal of comfort with your prayers and kind words.
I wasn’t sure when I posted the prayer request for my cat, if anyone would reply, or maybe even think I’m nutty for making the request.
Thank all of you for letting me know that I’m not alone in loving my animals so much. All of our pets will meet us again one day. What a comfort it is to know this.

Dear Suzanne, I returned to the forums tonight and see that your Chloe has passed. I’m so sorry. She joins our kids Patches and Bandit in heaven and I’m sure they are having a great time together. It is so hard to let go but such a blessing to know there is no more pain and suffering. Hugs to you, Vicki

Hello Family,
This evening I got a call from my life long friends husband. He told me that my friend, Elinor, is dying from cancer. She is only expected to live no longer then two more days. I have known Elinor for 60 years, we go back a long long time. Memories of our friendship is coming back to me and I am trying to write them down to share with her family. They sit at her bedside and are waiting for our heavenly father to call her home. -

I’m filled with prayers for all the precious people and kitty cat mentioned. We had to say goodbye to our cat a couple of weeks ago too. He had diabetes and put up with insulin shots and many complications for years. He too purred during the process. I think he was happy to find peace.
Please say a prayer for my husband Tom in WI. He has had an increasingly hard time handling stress since his illness (GBS). He has a very stressful job and needs God’s intervention.
Thank you and God bless your day!

Please pray for Monica lara, as she does not have insurance for her ivig. (Read her post) Please pray for Kevie, we are going to go ahead with another ivig, also pray that his finger is ok, he was using scissors and they slipped and gouged his finger. We did get the bleeding to stop, the scissors were stainless steel, so I think that should be ok regarding tetanus issue, and I think a tetanus is good for ten years anyway. I believe the last imunization was at five years. Most importantly, pray for Kevies friend who is having a serious surgery tommorrow to take care of some problems resulting from legg calve perths disease. He will be having a 6-8 hour surgery and spend the rest of the summer in a wheel chair only to graduate to crutches indefinitely. Please pray for him and his family. Thanks Dawn Kevies mom

Dear Friends:
Could you say a prayer for my wife, Colleen, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. Her tumor is very large and they think cancer may have spread to other parts of her body. We will know more in a few days.
She has been a combination of extremely brave and/or desparate and scared out of her mind. She is confident she will defeat cancer.
Colleen is the best person I have ever met. She is whip smart, wise, kind, sane at all times, and humble. I don’t know of a single person who has met her and not liked her. Her strength of character will sustain her through the long fight with cancer, and God willing, we will be normal and whole once again.

Lee,
I am one who firmly believes in the power of prayer. I can’t believe how many of my prayers have been answered, it’s actually kind of scary. But tonight I will definitely say a prayer for your wife Colleen & also my cousin Terry who is 42 & just dx with breast cancer as well. I will pray that all goes well for the both of them. Stay strong for your wife; she sounds like a very special person…
Blessings, Pam -
Dear Lee,
I am sorry for the news you have recieved. I will pray for your wife and your family. Be strong.
Love and stregnth,

I just read 8 pages of prayer requests. Suzanne I cried after reading about Chloe and will keep my Pepper in bed with me tonight. I am hard of hearing and don’t hear him purr. Doctor and audiologist asked me what traumatic event hit me in the last few years. I said GBS 5/5/05. I have only 55% hearing in my right ear, none in my left.
Aside from that. to those whose loved ones have breast cancer, I am a breast cancer survivor for 17 years. The power of prayers has helped me and will help you, God bless.

Hello Family,
Let’s all say a prayer for Miami Girl. I have tried to contact her also, have not heard from her, so have not posted. I would guess that she is grieving deeply, her sister may have been all she had. We all know what grief is because we grieve for the past life we lost. We’ll pray that she’ll come back to us so that we may be a support for her.JESUS TENDER SHEPARD HEAR ME
BE WITH OUR FRIEND MIAMI GIRL TONIGHT.THROUGH THE DARKNESS BE THOU NEAR HER

I have read all the prayers from others and I feel very humble to be part of everyone here. You were with me with my GBS and my surgery. I felt your prayers and strength and God has brought his loveing children together. I walk the path of the white light and I pray for everyone every day. I see compassion–love–giveing–prayers–hope and faith on these pages. May we all always walk with our hearts open and giveing to the weak ones the lost ones the lonley ones and remember the ones that have crossed over. May Gods blessings be with everyone. You are true angels of the Great Spirit (Steve)
