Hi and Im so sorry to read your story, I know it is hard and I walk woman through this few years ago, her husband did not make it through, his body gave up she was pregnant. He was diagnosed with GBS after all kind of other treatment, his body shut down one organ after other. I saw him once and he got angry he could not talk he was paralyzed all over from head to toe. I know it is not what you wanted to hear or read, I try to fight with this women to get him more treatment but the doctors said it was all done and there was no change he would come back. But I say always if there is live then it is change, we have seen lot of miracles here so dont give up sometimes the unthinkable can happen. lots of xoxoxxox Helga from Iceland

I got my GBS nov. 2006 and got very bad double vision, It got better but last time I check with my eyedoc he told me if this dont get better I might undergo some surgery to fix some nerves that dont do as my head tell them to do. I cross my finger that I dont need it, I have to be very good in keeping me not over doing things then my eyesight is in better shape.

Here in Iceland I know of one person that is 98%-100% recover so yes it is possible to get good health after this. I have not this story from my GBS, and truly I think that is something that have made me a better person, and I have learn to cope with lot of stuff that would had me mad before I got my GBS. My doctor´s promise 100% recover at the time I was in hospital. today they say you are a miracle we never expected to see you stand up from the wheelchair. Why they say this today but not when I was sick, I think it is because hope give you strength to fight back the symptoms. I say it is all based on what we think and what we are going to do. I’m still fighting and I will not give up, I work some days are good others are bad. but what a heck life is worth living and we have so much to live for.

the cloud poses is full of fluorine, but this is only afecting little of our country, only theim who are next to the volcano.
We see it from distance, and last was lot of thunders and lightning in the volcano. We are now waiting for it to slow down, then few days later it will blow up again. for now it is filling upp with ash from it self, but live in Iceland is going it´s usaly way, and this dont affect us much. Many people think that every one is in danger, but that is not a fact. We are still in more danger from the bank crisis then this. People are leaving the country looking for jobs, all over the world. A joke is here in Iceland becouse of this bank crises and UK and the ash from the volcano that is getting over to UK

Britain: WTF Iceland?! Why did you send us volcanic ash ?
Our airspace has shut down.
Iceland: What ? It’s what you asked for isn’t it ?
Britain: NO! Cash! Cash you dyslexic ****. CASH!
Iceland:There is no C in our alphabet, sorry! ;)

wow how I understand about the dammm chicken, I only eat it when I make it my self and it is so well cook that the bones fall out when I take it from the oven :))))) that is my biggest fear of all that is geting this damm bacteria again.
But Im struggling with the smoking, I love to quit but that couse me to use other meds to help me breath, I know now you put upp bigg ? mark.
I stoped smoking many years ago, ended in hospital for 3 months using only 25% of my lungs. I have alergy for all kinds of dust, so when I stop smoking I need to cover my lungs with meds that keep my lungs dust free :)))) this is so stupied when I see this on paper but my doc say he cant aske me to stop for he know that I enjoy my meds now but the other one is just horrible to put into my lungs.
