after 17 years it has started up again

      In 2000 I got GBS and now 17 years later the GBS has started again to go up my other leg. What I was left with was numbness and pain in left leg and weakness. Now my right leg in slowly going up with the same as my left leg. Is this normal and what to do?

      GBS is usually a single event, but can come back in the first year or so as RGBS. It is not likely to be GBS after 17 years. It could be CIDP (the chronic form of GBS) or something else. You should be diagnosed by a knowledgeable neurologist soon so you can get on treatment before any more permanent damage is done.
