Had my own business consulting practice focusing on manufacturing and maintenance industries. Was a semi-pro Tennis player for decades. Got GBS in Oct 2008, quickly became CIDP/MFS. Was completely paralyzed (quadriplegic) for first 3-4 months, gradually regained some use of upper body, arms, and could feed myself again during 2009. I experienced many complications from the treatment meds. Able to use a computer again in 2010 following eye surgery (cataracts from Prednisone). Rituximab treatments seemed to have put my CIDP in remission. Still wheelchair bound (paraplegic) in 2022 at age 78 and I don't expect to walk again. Now undergoing Dialysis in 2022. I joined this forum to learn more about GBS/CIDP/MFS and help others as best I can.
