If you registered, you can still watch via the link that was emailed to you.ย  That, as well as the other methods mentioned.

Hi Carrie! I’m afraid I don’t know much about CIDP; have you posted on that forum as well?

Best of luck to you Chrissy! I hope everything turns out well for you. ๐Ÿ™‚
I still do not drive on the highway. Going to Milw. tonight maybe I will give it a try….or maybe not. Let you know

I haven’t driven on the highway either, just locally. Are you in Chicago by chance??

Thanks so much, guys! You all have touched on something meaningful for me as well. I was just hoping that someone out there was feeling the same things I am….and you are!

Accepting our limitations (which is a job in itself), working within those limitations, pushing ourselves to do more from time to time, and being grateful for those small victories are all important. I don’t think its “getting my life back” as much as it’s creating a NEW life – which ain’t always a bad thing!

Welcome Mark! It sounds as if you are doing very well! You were fortunate in that you had a neurologist who knew what you had right away, as did I. As far as the rest…yes you need as much rest as you can get! It’s very important to listen to what your body is telling you. When you need to take a nap, take a nap! Most likely it won’t affect your night-time sleep.

Good luck in your continued recovery….hope to hear from you soon!

Harry, I’m so happy for you! I remember you were one of the first to greet me here.

You are so fortunate to be able to work FT and have a place to rest during the day. I agree that it is important that we post the small successes that we experience so as to give others hope and encouragement.

I haven’t posted in a couple of months, but one thing I’m doing now that I wasn’t then is driving! It was only for maybe 10 minutes, LOL, but I rolled all the windows down, opened up the sun roof and turned up the radio…grinning all the way! SWEET FREEDOM! Now I can drive myself to get a burrito from Chipotle or a pie from Bakers Square or whatever else I get a craving for!!

Of course, I’m only driving short distances and don’t go on too many errands at a time (maybe one or two) because I still tire easily, but who cares! I can do it! And I couldn’t do it before and so I’m grateful for it!!

    I love this thread!

After a week of depression, non-stop tears and zero activity (definately not good for me), I’m feeling stronger and more emotionally stable!

    Thanks to you all!

Diane’s sister, I can’t add anymore than what’s already been said. Everyone’s experiences and recovery is different. Continue being there for her and looking into any and all options that may be available to her.

One more thing: be sure to take time out for yourself as well! Eat well and get plenty of rest. ๐Ÿ™‚

Kinda new to the board…hello everyone!

Music has always been very special to me, so I enjoy listening to smooth jazz and old school R&B. Makes me dance, makes me smile, makes me think, calms me down, cheers me up….music does everything for me!

Brandt, try your cell phone provider first to see if its there.

Over and over. If I could figure out to get it as my ringtone, I would put it there… it’s my theme song.
Thanks Harry! I don’t know when I’ll be returning to work; I’m hoping by August/September (at least that’s “the plan”…lol). I’m now in outpatient rehab for speech and PT 3x a week and exercise at home most other days.

I wake up stiff and sore but after a hot shower and maybe a Norco I’m pretty good! My feet still feel as if they have frostbite, and my right facial muscles are still weak….but overall I’m grateful to be home, alive, and somewhat self-sufficient again.

Thanks for the encouragement! Believe me, it doesn’t take much for me to take a nap! How were things when you went back to work?
