My symptoms went into remission seemingly overnight and a few days later came the positive pregnancy test for my third. I had no symptoms during pregnancy, but have now relapsed 9months PP. My CIDP onset started when my second was 8mos old. So Im really hoping it’s not a pattern of getting to this point postpartum and relapsing. But during pregnancy there was full remission.

    Hi Regner,

This is my first relapse after being diagnosed in 2024. I also get a pain and tightness in my jaw and roof of my mouth (fun fact the muscles in your jaw connect to the roof of your mouth) I describe it as the feeling when you blow up too many balloons, kind of tight and burning. And my mouth gets tired while I’m eating, sometimes cutting meals short. I get tremors when holding things, and often feel like my bones are tremoring when I lay down or rest. Though it sounds ridiculous put into words. I love singing at church and to my children, so it’s definitely one of those demoralizing symptoms.

    Hi Gabriela,

I know it’s a few years later, but I’m 27 a mom of three and working through many of the same things. I was wondering if you got diagnosed? Sounds more like MS than CIDP to me. Hope you’re doing well. Children have such a hard time when we are down!

I 100% feel like an imposter. Like man, just hurry up sometimes zoning out and I’ll walk and catch myself off guard as to why I’m walking funny. A few weeks ago I was picking up 50lbs bags of feed. This week I’m buying a new coffee mug with a thicker handle because my fone motor skills are so week. I 100% feel guilty my husband has to take up my responsibilities after a long day at work. “My nerves don’t work” is a lot harder to understand than “I broke my ankle” I’d say it’s such an invisible ailment when you look so normal.

I had a whole slew of supplements given to me by a naturopath. Would be happy to pass on the list!

I’ll be adding it to my regimen this week! Hoping it will ease discomfort.

I did at the initial start of my disease. It’s not an immediate effect, but I really believe it stopped the progression of symptoms and lessened the severity. I did it 3x a week for an hour at a time.
