Stopping in for a hello

      Hey guys.
I haven’t stopped in for a while. It’s been 6 months since my symptoms all began while being hospitalized with a severe case of food poisoning.

I started questioning whether it really was GBS, since I had flare up after flare up. All of my tests came back normal. Some dr.s were diagnosing it as conversion disorder – yet the psychologist and psychiatrist didn’t think it was CD. My neurologist was upset with that I was being labeled with CD, so was my naturopath.

Anyway, I still have yet to be diagnosed. Together, my neuro and naturo are calling it an autoimmune neuromuscular disorder. I am fatigued, tingle, and have problems communicating with my arms and legs…oh, my speech gets severly slurred.

I am darn near normal now! I can walk and talk! What worked for me was I changed my diet. I did the elimination diet my naturopath recommended..then gradually added foods back into my system. We discovered that dairy, beef, pork and egg yolks cause my condition to flare up. I am able to relieve the symptoms somewhat by soaking my feet or entire body in hot water. I know it’s all bizarre! So, I’m now following the Swank Diet – which is actually for MS.

I don’t know if any of this would help you guys but it would be interesting if it does. Right now I’m working on building my arm/leg muscles back up.
I continue to see dr.s/specialists…but no one can figure me out….

We are still hopeful someday I’ll have a diagnosis, but for we are thrilled that just this dietary changes has completely changed my life.

Take care…I truly think about you guys all of the time.

      Becca
