I visited a mining ghost town that is now Columbia State Park in Columbia, California.

Here are three scenes from there (more to come):

      Hi Ken,
I was starting to wonder if you were a goast! Glad you and the pictures are back, great as usual. How far away are these mining tows from LA or San Diego? Kevin wants to go to Ca for his Make a Wish. Any suggestions for any cool un-tourity places to go? So seem like a well traveled guy!!!

      Thank you Dawn!

There are so many great places/things to see and do in California….
But the distances can be awful….so, if I knew where he was going to be, maybe I could offer some ideas within a reasonable distance. Or, if he is going to be travelling all over California, I can offer some suggestions for each part.

One “problem” in California is it’s huge population….that means even the most obscure cool things to see are usually visited by lots of people! That’s why I try to see the “sights” on a weekday, and not during the tourist season at all.

You can post your questions here…..others might be interested in our dialogue….or PM me and we can do it that way.
