A couple of weeks ago I took the regular flu shot at a Veteran’s hospital. I had to complete a list of questions before taking the shot. One of the questions was; “Have you had GBS”? I must have been the only one to have ever answered “Yes”. I had to convince two successive Nurses and review my health records before convincing them to give the shot. My GBS was two years ago and I have taken the shots since because I do not believe I can risk the flu and am sure that it was not the cause of my onset. I am not suggesting that anyone follow my example. It must be a personal decision after weighing all possible outcomes.
