Family and friends of Joe Gallo are holding a pasta dinner benefit at the Endicott Elks Club, 619 N. Nanticoke Ave, Endicott, from 12 to 5 p.m. March 30. A tender aside …

Loved ones have brought bags of groceries and given gift cards to the Gallos, but it was one special offer of help that reduced Hollie Gallo to tears. It came from Denise Posniewski, the mother of a little boy in the Gallos’ youngest son’s class. Her own family has been struggling since her husband, U.S. Navy Lt. Matthew Posniewski, fell from a ladder and is paralyzed
