If you are taking any of a number of ‘things’ that, in effect, knock down your immune system, would you use a product that boosts or supports your immune system? For example, a product such as Sambucol for when you have flu symptoms?
For more on Sambucol see:
http://www.webmd.com/cold-and-flu/news/20031222/elderberry-fights-flu-symptoms
Which starts out with “Dec. 22, 2003 — Sambucol, a black elderberry extract, appears to short-circuit flu symptoms, a new study shows.”
http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/QAA300839
“Answer (Published 11/4/2003) The flowers and fruit of the elderberry shrub (Sambucus nigra) have a long history of use for treating colds and flu, but an elderberry extract called Sambucol® has recently been studied in Israel. It is indicated for flu – not for colds – and while it does appear to shorten the duration of flu symptoms, it does not work as a preventive.
and, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11399518
“…In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study, Sambucol reduced the duration of flu symptoms to 3-4 days….”
Are you taking, or do you plan, or even think about taking immune boosters?
