Cellcept & Hair Loss

      I was on Cellcept briefly (my body didn’t tolerate it well 😡 ) and experienced hair loss on my eyebrows and upper eye lid lashes. I also have hair loss on the back of my head. 😮

      My eyebrows and eye lashes are beginning to grow back slowly. 😀

      Has anyone else experienced hair loss related to Cellcept? :confused:

      I wasn’t on Cellcept long but Methotrexate made my hair fall out like autumn leaves.It’s grown in- like thick stand up chucks- even my stylist could tell I’d been on some kind of chemo drug.
      Cellcept does made hair fall out. Depends on strength taken.

      I was on Cellcept for a short while. Was on Methotrexate for 18 months and I have significant hair loss. It would fall out when I brushed it and was very noticeable on the bathroom floor. After stopping it it did regrow rapidly and my hair stylist asked if I had been on chemo due to the massive new growth she saw.
      Think the amount of loss is due to strength of chemo type drug/length of time taken.

      Is Cellcept an immuno-suppressant ?

      I just wonder at what stage the Drs thought that would help? As its pretty heavy duty, is it a ‘last ditch’ kinda of thing ?
