Post-GBS Tingling

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, and I had a question. I had GBS back in 2022, and was in the hospital around a month with paralysis and breathing issues. I recovered fairly quickly and did not seem to have any residual muscle/nerve damage. Recently I have noticed that when I get frightened, I get tingles all across my body. I also just started running again and have been getting tingles across my whole body when I am done. Has anyone experienced this type of tingling post-GBS during times of excitement/exercise?

Hi there
Glad you found this place.
I had gbs in 06 and I still experience the full body tingling when excited/stimulated. I remember it being much worse while I was “recovering”.
Since you’re still healing this may ease for you as time passes since we’re all different & heal differently. If this is really bothersome, talk to your Dr or neurologist. You may need a nerve conduction study to see where you’re at & how things are coming along.

Eleven years post GBS, severe residual axonal nerve damage. Many many issues as a result and have been on disability since then.
Constant nerve pain etc. As far a the pins and needles always to some degree But if shocked or startled or scared like in car traffic. Then severe puns and needles. In my case my problems are intensifying possibly due to additional ongoing denervation from CIDP -
I’m five years post-GBS and have residual tingling, numbness, and other assorted nerve “weirdness” in my right foot and toes.

I’m eight years post-GBS and have various residual affects from GBS.
Years one and two were mainly fatigue, temperature senstivity and some nerve pain in the legs. By 2019 I developed faciculations in a calve muscle which have progressed to the entire body.
I have received a full panel of blood and neurological testing for potential genetical neurological diseases. The results of all the tests have come back negative. Faciculations have not progressed further to indicate or suggest a neurological disease like ALS so this has been ruled out.
I have seen (3) Neurologists which after looking at previous tests and current physical abilities have concluded I have GBS residuals which now include, (BFS) Benign Fasiculation Syndrome. I am told it may or maynot go away but I am truly hoping it does.
I take 1/2 tablet of Clonazepam at night to help me sleep because the muscle spasms or fasiculation can keep me awake. During the day when I am busy working and I am not focused on my fasiculation I know they are there and they do create periods of fatigue and muscle spasm but when I take any breaks during the day, they are clearly visable in the arms and legs.
I am not sure if anyone has experienced these kind of nerve issues but I share in any frustrations any of you may have with other residuals from GBS that you maybe struggling with.
