I was wondering if any of you with GBS like me take any Manatech supplements. It does give me extra energy. I also take 3,000 mc of B-12 and a B-complex a day. I take the PhytoMatrix, Pluse, and AMbrotose OA & the Ambratose powder once a day. I think anything that is willing to give me an extra burst of energy is great. I try to limit coffee to a few cups in the morning. I was just curious if any of you are taking any supplements to boost your immune system or help give you energy. I know that I am tired of getting run down so much. I am trying to listen to my body more and rest when I need it. Last night I had a bad migraine and slept for about 16 hours. I needed the rest! Just currious about Mannatech.:)

I don’t take Manatech as it is very costly but I am taking supplements. I take B complex, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin D, MSM and I know when I have missed it for a few days. My dr’s have encouraged me to take almost double the recommended dose of the B, D and magnesium. They feel it won’t hurt me. I have a magnesium defiency anyway so need to boost that.

I take the Ambrotose and have noticed that when I dont take it regularly there is a difference. This is not to say it is a miracle, but it may give us something to work with who knows. I also take a multi and omega 3 supplement, a calcium+d, and have found that since I dont take any perscriptions for pain Aleve works fairly well (and a tylenol pm at night to help me relax and sleep…cant take excedrine anymore because of the caffeine). I am also not sick as long as the rest of the family since i started the mannatech.

Fairly Odd Mother,
I want to thank you for your advice and being an encouragment to me.
You don’t know how much I appreciate it.
It is so lonely sometimes.
I feel a lot of time that I am all by myself.
I know that my family KNOWS I HAVE GBS but they don’t really understand.
My wife gets frustrated that she can’t take the pain away or do more.
My boys are very young and don’t know how to quiet down when my nerves in my ears are bothering me.
It is stressful sometimes.
I am glad that I have you and others who have and are expereincing some of the things I am going through in life.
Being a father of three young boys I need to try to have as much energy as I can because it is so hard for them to understand that dad needs to sleep now or dad needs to rest now and even dad can’t do some of the things he did before. It is frustrating sometimes. Okay often. I am trying to relax as much as I can because when I wound up it give me migraines.
Again, thank you so much for just listening.
