IVIG or steroid did not work

Is it true that sometimes it takes at least 4 times to see any results from IVIG? Also my son was on steriods all it did was make him moody and gain tons of weight anyone else experience this with GBS?

Steroids are not indicated for use in GBS. The side-effects can be horrendous (personal experience for a very rare lung disease acquired during the GBS).
