Does GBS cause fever

      Hello everyone 4 weeks go my 8 year old was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with gbs. @ rounds of ivig and steroids etc he was medically cleared 10 days ago and ready to goto rehab center . while waiting she had 103 temperature. due to some insurance issues we are still waiting to be transferred to the rehab center but since that fever 5 days later she had fever again 103

      they checked for  infections etc nothing , no covid nothing as well.  and now today she has 103 fever

      this on and off high temp normal?  any ideas? other than the fever issue is her regular gbs issues like moving leg and arms and leg which is getting better and hopefully better with rehab.

      Although symptoms vary widely between people, fever is usually not a typical symptom of GBS. Tingling and weakness are the usual symptoms.

      Perhaps there is or was a viral infection?

      • Cytomegalovirus which causes chest infection or glandular fever
      • Epstein-Barr virus which causes glandular fever
      • Zika virus which causes fever, rash and joint pain
