Baclofen

Does anyone here take Baclofen? What’s your experience with it? I take it before bedtime to help with the painful muscle spasms in my arms and legs that keep me awake in the evenings. I find it really helps my muscle pain and even enables me to climb the stairs to the bedroom more quickly and painlessly, but it also increases my sensory issues (i.e., more pins and needles). It’s not exactly painful, but it’s definitely noticeable and quite distracting. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I too am on baclofan. I take it at bedtime to stop all the spascity
at night and it is wonderful. I take it at bedtime but it keeps me awake
so I also take 5 mg of ambien. I sleep so well for the first time since
      GBS back in ’96.

My question is, how was the parathesis before the baclofan and is that
      better?

I find my activity level, even now, determines how much tingling that
I have to deal with. And then there are those days that it just happens!!!

I feel so blest to have found this drug. Good luck to you.

      Hi,

I only use baclofen when the spasms get really bad. I eat bananas and drink tonic water the rest of the time. Since I started eating at least one banana a day, the spasms seem to lessen in strength and amount of times.

I do still run into bad days and I take it at bed time and during the day if the spasms are really frequent. I do leg exercises every day and that does help too.
