There can be considerable variation in the residuals depending on the extent of nerve damage. I was also paralyzed below the neck, but with CIDP. I never had breathing difficulties and did not experience the symptom you describe. Were you on a ventilator? If so, there may be residuals associated with that aspect of your case.

Numbness where? I am two and one-half years out of the hospital and still have some numbness in my lower legs. It may be permanent, but it’s not severe. At the same time I have hypersensitivity in my feet.
