Hi Mike! Might pay to get a bone scan too! You have Hip Necrosis and beginning stages of it. Very common in long term prednisone patients. But if there is Hip Necrosis then you probably have Osteosporsis also. Sorry to hear the news Mike but hope things go well for you. GOOD LucK~

Yes it is a real hard one to deal with at times, and although certain treatments help in the short term im beginning to think as ive been told by my specialists they are just trying to slow down the speed that it progresses.
I don’t have the urine problem but today the numbness and pressure in both feet has moved up my lower legs and is very intense in it approach quite scary actually,, also my fingers have stiffened overnight and are number than yesterday.
Im a bit down but i don’t give in we have to fight this curse or it will get the better of us and depression sets in.

Hi Mike! My name is Linda. I took both the Lyrica and Neurontin.. Generic Gabapentin. The Lyrica did totally nothing for me but I had CIDP and not GBS. Both are still painful and annoying!
I found the Gapapentin to be more effective also. In fact I think it is a much better drug for nerve pain.
I tried Lyrica, Buspar, and even Cymbalta. And all three drugs failed for me. So I went back on the Gabapentin. That seems to work far much better and I feel better! Pleasure meeting you in here! Good luck and I hope you get well soon!
