You pic’s from the centennial parade for the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, Ken, reminded me – my grandfather, who was a ship’s captain, left the town the day BEFORE the quake, I would perhaps not even have existed if his departure had been delayed! Can I use the word “serendipity”?:confused:

And Norb, you know what the Norwegian Refugee’s Authority did? They got a group of Karen people on therir hands, and since all refugees are entitled to get lessons helping them with their mother tongue, they were given lessons in Burmese – and that it was a mistake wasn’t discovered until 6 months had passed! Embarrassing….
