Reply To: IE Compatibility?

Many Forum users have the latest version of IE8 because that is what Microsoft allows with XP. Few people are using the latest version of IE11 because it was designed to run under Win8.1 (a very unpopular version of Windows). There are ways to make IE11 run on older machines using virtualization, but this is too technical for most people. It’s simpler to get Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. But this too is too technical for some folks … and when you get down to GBS/CIDP folks it can be even harder due to Neuropathies.

According to NetMarketShare, IE has almost 60% of the browser market share and IE8 accounts for 20% of that! Latest stats are here:

I posted this using the latest version of Chrome (ver 40.nnn) because IE8 won’t allow us to view this Forum anymore (even in compatibility mode) since you updated it last year.

I would suggest the audience here is not using all the latest version technology tools and, due to outrageous medical costs to treat CIPD et al … they cannot afford to!

Perhaps the Forum should consider moving to Disqus or a similar platform that is more compatible with the older technologies employed by its members?
