Contracted mild GBS after a stomach virus and shingles vaccine in 2014 when I was 62. Was definitively dx'ed at Duke Neurology after 5 months of testing. Got IVIG tx without any benefit. Did get relief from some PT, Rx's and support groups in 2015 and 2016. Symptoms are mainly (still) in abdomen, some vertigo, and peripheral neuropathy in my lower extremities. It's a weird syndrome to say the least!
