topamax research?

      does anyone have any information about topamax with respect to its effect on nerve pain from gbs or cipd? I have a friend in UK who has been turned down on topamax b/c they said there is no link between topamax and nerve pain treatment in cases of gbs or cipd. I would like to forward information to her if at all possible. thanks.

      I called my neuro about 5 years ago wanting to try Topomax over neurontin, as I knew one of the side effects was weight loss/appetite suppression. He told me it would not work for my nerve pain, guess my damage is just too great.
