Tension in cheek

Hi
I’m living with CIDP and experience tremors whenever I stretch my fingers, elbows, or arms—on both sides. Lately, I’ve also noticed an unusual tension in my lower jaw, especially when speaking or singing. It’s a strange sensation that’s hard to describe.
Has anyone else with CIDP experienced similar jaw-related symptoms?Cheers

Hi Regner,
This is my first relapse after being diagnosed in 2024. I also get a pain and tightness in my jaw and roof of my mouth (fun fact the muscles in your jaw connect to the roof of your mouth) I describe it as the feeling when you blow up too many balloons, kind of tight and burning. And my mouth gets tired while I’m eating, sometimes cutting meals short. I get tremors when holding things, and often feel like my bones are tremoring when I lay down or rest. Though it sounds ridiculous put into words. I love singing at church and to my children, so it’s definitely one of those demoralizing symptoms.

Hi Marion
Thanks for sharing. In the meantime, since August last year, my CIDP has been in remission, and I have no symptoms. I also sing a lot in various choirs and projects, so it was quite demoralizing to have jaw symptoms.
Wish you the best.
