strange feeling in toes

      Hello everyone.

For two days I have been having a strange sensation in two of my toes on my “better” foot. Which, really, I dont think I have a “better” foot anymore. The toes are numb for the most part and I cant move them. I do feel some hot and cold but not normal. Something is like buzzing or vibrating in the toes. They dont feel any different other than this annoying almost hum like sensation. It’s not constant but is about every couple of minutes. At first I thought it was like a going to sleep sensation…but that’s not really it. It’s a vibration like. What is going on NOW ?

In addition, I notice that my calf is real tight, too.

      Hi Stacey,
Kevin never gets those vibrating sensations, but he ALWAYS has issiues with tightness, in the ankles especially, but all over in the morning. We have been taking aleve in the morning, and it seems to help him CONSIDERABLY. Good luck!

Emily gets the tightness (she calls them nuts) in her calves when she’s overdone it or right before she had another relapse.

Eat a banana – the potassium should help some.

I know when I am tired and sore from a hard day at work and my legs bother me I will put my feet up I feel the vibration in my legs right down to my feet I probably just over did it. But one time my DR asked me if I get the vibration feelings and I wasn’t sure so after that I kept track to see if I did then I realized I did and I told her so when I saw her on March 4th.

Also when my legs bother me sometimes it’s like the I got tightness in my legs like there might be swelling because the skin feel like it wants to stretch but it can’t. Almost like having tight Jeans on and the pant leg is to small for your legs but you don’t have cloths on and it feels like that.
I am not very good at explaining things.

Hi, I’ve had the buzzing/vibration in both my hands and feet. I have been responding to treatment and the burning/tingling/feeling like I dipped my extremities in acid sensations changed after I’d been on the treatment a while to the vibration. The vibration comes and goes and is much better now, barely noticeable. I read somewhere on here that someone thought the vibrations were signs the nerves were healing, so that is what I have been telling myself. But who knows.

the strange humming has gone away as mysteriously as it came on. The tightness in my calf remains tho. And, yes, it does feel like my skin is too small…in a knotted area. I’m having more trouble making “clearance” with lifting the right foot. I’m sure glad my dr thinks I’m ok to not do any treatment for 6 mos.

      note the sarcasm there.

If the humming was a warning of relapse…which I dont think I relapse. I think I very very slowly progress…either way, if that’s a sign of bad, there is nothing drastically changed other than increased weakness in the foot/ ankle.

I have atrophy in the top of both feet and wrists per the dr. Can we get that muscle back ? Will I forever walk this way and only get worse rather than better ?

I’m in search of a new dr.

Stacey I get the tightness in my thighs. If you ever find out what causes your tightness I would appreciate knowing. I go for an MRI of my spine on Saturday if it doesn’t get postpone wondering if that will give me answers.
