Wondering if anyone suffers from back/spine/shoulder blade and rib pain from CIDP. For me, these areas the gabapentin seems not to work or my nerve damage is just permanent 10 out of 10 pain the more I do the worse it gets just breathing makes it worse.

I’m grateful for the open communication.
My neck pain is constant and hurts to check blind spots when driving. Flexeril doesn’t touch it.
The shoulder blade pain…omg the intense pain. It’s not the electrical shock pain. Doesnt feel like nerve pain. I dont know what it is.
Same as with the ribs…not electrical shocks. It isnt constant but when it’s there, it’s like being hit with a baseball bat.
So far I havent found relief. Gabapentin made me sick as well as not easing any pain. Lyrica doesnt help either.
Lower back ache and sometimes extends the length of the spine.
I thought I was alone, and since neuromuscular specialists probably dont read forums, my neuro and primary care dont believe it’s all CIDP related. Now I can show them that it’s not just me.

FRANCES SAKANAI you have described the same pain I have my neurologist seems to have the same option as mine but CIDP manifests it self differently others with something being similar I think the neurologist maybe stuck in text book that the symptom must be completely the same.
I thank my neurologist skills to diagnose the CIDP it took 18 years to finally have someone to investigate properly.

Ausvoltz, how are your shoulders, shoulder blades, back, and ribs?
It’s been worse for a week now. The rib pain..I don’t want to move an inch because of the pain. I think of you when I get debilitating rib, shoulder blade, and back pains, wondering if you found relief?

None of the nerve pain management medication work for me now. So I just keep moving, doing things that distract me that I enjoy helps for a short moment but it reminds me it’s still there.
So no I don’t have anything that really helps so sorry I can’t help you. Rest is the only thing but still remain active to a point otherwise you could have muscle waste.
