Relapse from the flu?

Can I GBS relapse from catching the flu again? I initially came down with GBS right after I recovered from a nasty flu. I don’t normally catch the flu, so I never get flu shots which I understand can cause GBS.
I did ask my doctor this question, and according to my wife, he did not really answer this simple
question properly. So thats why I am tossing it out here. (new doctor time) -

When I was in the hospital in-patient therapy there was another patient inner mid forties was diagnosed with GBS shortly after getting a flu shot. She also was undergoing treatment for ALS. I moved to another facility shortly thereafter so I lost track of her.
