I see people have started threads about movies they have seen. My husband and I saw a wonderful movie last week on DVD “The Bucket List” starring Jack Nicholsone and Morgan Freeman. The bucket list is a list of things they want to do before they die. They each have a terminally ill cancer. I thought it would be depressing but it is the best movie I have seen all year. I am so sorry I cannot figure out how to spell Jacks last name but I think everyone knows I mean the Jack that played the joker in “Batman”. This movie is for anyone that enjoys living life to the fullest. I highly recommend it. My husband who has the cidp has really been feeling depressed because he has other medical problems also, this movie really cheered him up.

Thanks for the recommendation. And this gives me an idea to carry on this thread or start a new one. What if we all jumped in and shared one or two things that were on our bucket list? Is anyone interested? Cookiegirl, I don’t want to take over your thread so what do you think?

I hadnt thought about this before.
I want to watch my son graduate from college and get married. I want to be a grandma and have my grandchildren spend the night so that I can make them home made choc milkshakes and play cards with them and then rub their backs till they fall asleep. If I have a granddaughter, I’ll let her sleep in one of my soft silky nighties, if she wants to…all the things like my granny did with me.
I want to go back to Cancun with my hubby for two weeks instead of one and be able to walk on the beach and stand up in the ocean when the current pulls back.
Actually, I just want to go away with my hubby and have the honeymoon we never did.I want to live a life not dependent on pain meds.
I want alot.

believe it or not I wrote this list right before i came down with gbs in 2003, before there was such a thing called a bucket list..
Of course I want all the normal things a mother wishes for concerning their children..
My list is titled: Things I want to do someday
* Take a vacation with just my mom
* See the Precious Moments Chapel (which I did on Aug. 4, 2004)
* See the Big Bass Pro Shop (which I did on Aug. 6, 2004)
* Visit Niagara Falls
* See an Ohio State Football game
* Watch the Blue Jackets Hockey team
* See the outdoor drama Tecumseh
* Visit Fenton Glass Factory (which I did April 18, 2008)
* Volunteer at Children’s Hospital
* Have a Body Massage (which I did April 2007)
* Get a Pedicure & Manicure (which I did with my daughter 2-20-08)
* Visit a tropical island
* Swim with the dolphins
* See the whales migrate
* Finish my Bachelor’s Degree
* Design and Decorate a room entirely ( which i did aug 2007)
* Stay at the ocean for at least a month
* Go to Oprah’s Favorite Things ShowI know that’s a lot of things on my list but I was trying to make goals for myself..This piece of paper has hung on my refrigerator since the spring of 2003.
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to accomplish everything on the list.

I am in the Maritimes working and I definitely have to add to my bucket list:
I want to: -see a tall ship just once
-go on a cruise ship ( I saw my first one yesterday!)
-see the Maritimes in the fall when the colors are in full orange and red (they aren’t full yet but still pretty!) -

Let’s see, now if Jerimy gets Jessica, I get Neil Diamond.:D
Go to Broadway and see 10 plays.
Get a sailboat and sail around the entire coasts of the United States.
Go to Ireland/Scotland/Wales with my best friend
Travel down the whole Route 66 in a white corvette.
Be in a Tiger Cruise with my son on an aircraft carrier.
Have a month, week, day, forever of no more pain.
I want to go meet Canada and spend a month on her farm in the plains of Saskatchewan, help her bale hay, feed all the animals, help her plant flowers, help her can, and after the work is done every night, hop on the bikes and head out somewhere and just talk. Oh, we are both NO pain or physical problems of any kind.
There are a couple more cyber buddies I would like to meet, hug, and say thanks for being you.
Maybe Neil could get my mind off the pain by singing and doing the town up.

I love how this thread has spread to many pages. Do we have any other people that want to start a bucket list. In reply to Jeremy wanting to meet Jessica Alba. My husband would like to meet Selma Hayak. I would like to meet Paula Dean or Chef Duff from the food network.
