I’ve made great progress over the last year. The numbness in my hands and forearms has largely dissipated and the same from my knees to just above my ankles.
My strength has mostly returned (90%), but I’m still extremely fatigued after a day at work.
The one part of me that still giving me trouble is from my ankles on down.
My ankles feel stiff and my feet do as well. I get extreme pain in my Achilles’ tendon and heel. The balls of my feet and toes feel numb and stiff.
The pain and numbness make it painful to walk.
Anyone else have this issue? Are the feet the last to heal?
The feet will usually be the last to heal and may never heal completely. I am seven years out of hospital and have not relapsed, but my feet still hurt 24/7, the more so when I walk a lot on them. I just tolerate it. There is nothing much that can be done about it.
