[SIZE=”2″][I]I got the Blues
Can’t wear my shoesFeet feel like clubs
Worn down to stubsUsed to be so agile
Now I’m so fragileIt’s hard to swallow
More symptoms followCan’t make a fist
Nor flex my wristStumbling on stairs
Falling off chairsWhat if I trip?
Could break a hipFingers so lame
Can’t even write my nameLegs are on fire
So quick to tireGotta take all these pills
Can’t pay my billsNurse can’t find a vein
Darn, I dropped my caneTakes so long to get dressed
I’m really stressedI’m losing my hair
It just isn’t fairDo you feel the same way?
Let’s call it a dayWe’ll go have a drink
Champagne I thinkAnd drown all our troubles
In a sea of bubbles

Lee, I’m afraid this was a ‘one off’ for me but I’d love to see a GBS poetry contest.
Could we start one? I mean could you, ’cause i don’t know how?
Thanks again and Best to all
