Neuro consult thinks its CIPD

      But Im currently admitted to a hospital that is utterly incapable of diagnosing me. Suggested a larger, teritary hospital. Was promised to see a neuro to get a plan for my stay here. I havent seen anyone all day. Sigh.

      A hospital doesn’t do the diagnosis, a neurologist does. The staff doctors at most hospitals will be insufficient, but a neurologist with expertise in acquired peripheral neuropathies might have privileges at even a small hospital. You must find a good neurologist, then go to one of the hospitals he or she uses, if necessary.

      You are correct. I ended up tossing the neuro out of my room as she was so rude and obnoxious. . Days later I found my current neuro who knew exactly what the issue was on my first visit. Tests confirmed sensory polyneuropathy, a type of gbs.
