New technology allows hospitalized patients to interact with the outside world
SAN LEANDRO, CA (NBC) – Technology is taking great strides for people who can’t walk.
From her bed at Kindred Hospital in San Leandro, she’s checking up on her kids in Monterey by talking to her best friend. Thanks to a laptop, a web cam and a head mouse, Shelly is enjoying virtual visits with Carolyn, her friend of 30 years. Shelly is thrilled, “I think it’s great.”
