Hi,
My mother came down with GBS a couple of weeks ago. One day she was fit and healthy, a couple days later she was on the ventilator, totally paralyzed. If you’d asked us a few months ago about Guillain Barre I would have asked “who’s he? Some frenchman?” Now, thanks to the internet I’m an expert 🙂
Anyway, we’ve set up a blog (http://gbsyndrome.wordpress.com) that tells the story of GBS from a family’s perspective. We had so many questions, and many answers were found in this forum. But there is nothing like a story and hopefully the story we tell will pain a picture of what it is like for the next family who suddenly find themselves confronted with GBS.
