Enbrel

Has Enbrel ever been studied as a possible treatment option for CIDP?

I know it’s a biologic immune-modulator… My wife uses it for her Rheumatoid Arthritis (which also is an auto-immune disorder) and has had really superior results.

When I asked my neuro about it, she said that she wasn’t aware of any research studies having been done in regard to it’s use as a possible treatment for CIDP.

Does anyone have any solid information about using Enbrel as a possible treatment option?

I Googled “studies on Enbrel for CIDP” and I got these links:

      http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=studies+on+Enbrel+for+CIDP&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

Hope that helps you find some info.

It looks like there hasn’t been a whole lot of research into this area, but what little research has been done shows about a 50% success rate.

To my mind, that’s pretty darn good!

It seems to me that kind of success rate begs further investigation!
