I was diagnosed with this today. Has anyone else been diagnosed with Raynaud’s after having GBS. Any info will help. I am just really frightened about having another painful disease to deal with.:(

Stoney, No need to stress out about Raynauds syndrome. It is relatively harmless as compared to gbs/cidp. I have had it for over 15 years, it just takes some getting use to. Keep on top of any additional pain with neurontin or lyrica or even antidepressants. Invest in good, comfortable socks, and some thinsulate mittens-not gloves. If you are knowingly exposed to cold temps for a time, make sure you get plenty of hunters’ heaters for your feet and hands. Little things like that will help make you more comfortable. Also keep up your potassium levels and your b levels, talk to your dr about that first though. Do your research and be educated and you will be fine. Take care.

I have been dxed with Raynauds before GBS. It does not bother me now that I have retired and don’t get my hands cold anymore. When I was working construction it was a big problem. Keep your hand warm and protected and you should be fine.

My mom has had Raynaud’s for years. She has some little “rice bags” that she heats in the microwave to warm up her hands when her fingers start to turn white. She also has mitts with microwave rice bags to keep her hands warm when she goes out during the cold winter months. You can purchase a “bed buddy” bag at a pharmacy — it is a micrwaveable tube filled with something (grain?) that is microwaveable also — I like to heat it and throw it around my feet when I sit and watch tv on cold winter nights. Just some suggestions — but keeping your hands and feet warm is a must! Take Care.
