My father, 73 years old, has diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome.
My father started losing feeling his hands and legs on Wendnesday 17/01/2018 and the same night had facial paralysis and difficulty breathing. On 18/01/2018, he was on life support in I.C.U ,with complete body paralysis and ventilator to assist with breathing. Doctors gave him IVIG in the I.C.U but there are no signs of improvement yet 24/01/2018.
How long does treatment takes…what can i do…please help me.
Hello,
I was diagnosed Jan 26 2017. They started the IVIG right away for 5 days. It seemed to take affect by third treatment. They thought that if it did not make anymore progress they would look into something else which I have no idea of what it may have been.
I wish the best for your dad. Stay strong..
