Hello all, has anyone had problems with there Achilles’ tendons since GBS?
I currently just had surgery to have the Achilles’ tendon on the right leg released and awaiting and operation for the left legJust want to know if this is comman?

Hi Daniel, I don’t know if this is normal to the point of surgery, but really depends on the length of stay you had in the hospital and the care you got while there. I had sever “Foot Drop” as they call it since I was in the hospital for 3 months before PT started. They were unable to put on any braces to help due to the amount of pain in my feet and legs due to GBS, so I had a sever case of Foot Drop, but it was mostly worked out in PT by stretch the tendons. I did not have to have surgery though.
I would say that this is more due to your time down than to due to GBS itself, but I am not a Dr. and so cannot confirm that.Hope you get it all worked out.

My achilles feel tight a lot especially if I slack on stretching them out
