There are about 1 to 2 cases per 100,000 people of GBS in any one year.   Let’s say the vaccines had been widely available for 5 months by the time of the studies in the referenced link and that every single person had indicated number of doses.  If so, for the AstraZeneca vaccine, 227 GBS cases / 51,400,000 doses / 2 does per person * 12 months in a year / 5 months gives a yearly case rate of 2 per 100,000.  For the J&J vaccine, 100 cases / 12,200,000 doses / 1 dose per person * 12 months in a year / 5 months gives a yearly case rate of 2 per 100,000.  So perhaps the adenovirus vaccines push the rate of GBS up to the high end of normal.  But it would be hard to say that they definitely cause an increase in GBS.  That is not to say the vaccines might not cause GBS in you as an individual, and it is a tragedy if it does, but to society, there seems to be minimal risk.
