The hospital doesn’t make the diagnosis, the neurologist does. I was treated successfully in a hospital which is not a Center of Excellence. But I had two excellent neurologists, and the hospital has excellent staff and the necessary equipment. The only special equipment required is a lumbar puncture room with fluoroscopic-aided equipment, and a plasmapheresis machine if you get plasma exchange.
