Spam Posts

We have a new registered user from outside the USA (probably from China based on the very poor English) who is spamming the forums:

Please delete the post and deactivate the user.

Spam is on the rise again. Is there anyone from IT services monitoring the forums? The spam posts need to be deleted and their IP addresses blocked.

I agree, but there isn’t as much as there used to be.

Hi Mia, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen you here. Thanks for dealing with the spammers for us!

Please see the following thread for some insight about the new website look and feel:

Thank you, Jim. We appreciate the report of spam and the feedback on the design. I responded to that post directly. We were able to replicate the SSL certificate issue which was caused by an incorrect link in the menu system.
      Best,
      Mia

FYI, new spam posts today reported via tech support contact form.

Spam is on the rise. I think it’s too easy to register. I would at least suggest new members accept TOS that include rules about not spamming the forums with product/service advertisements and weblinks. The weblinks could put our members at risk of identity theft or other fraudulent schemes. Better yet, consider employing the free service from StopForumSpam.com to disallow known spammers from creating a new account or posting phishing links.

Hi Jim, Thanks for being so on-top of the spam thing. Any spam is too much, especially for a support forum. I appreciate your knowledge.

Thank you for the alert about spam. We are looking into improving the registration process to block this new round of spam and appreciate the suggestions.
