Yoga for Voice?

Howdy!
I’m wondering if any of you who experienced voice impairment have tried yoga. I have heard that there are some yoga exercises that help strengthen the voice and the throat.
I have tried to do a websearch on this, but end up confused by the terminology – I’m not a practitioner.

Hey Kelly,
Have you run across the yoga position called something like “Tigers breath”? It is a pose where you sit with your back straight and while sticking out your tongue you force a “HAAA” out. It sounds weird but it gets the energy and breath flowing. I hope this helps.
