At the moment it’s the Prelude to Richard III by William Walton, although in the evenings I like to listen to American country music–there are some very good stations online, my particular favourites being from Texas and Canada.

      [B]Vivaldi’s Revenge[/B], a modern version – kind of electronic – of the “4 Seasons”.

I am playing it on my computer right now using iTunes. The computer is hooked up to the stereo with big speakers. I don’t have any music CD’s at all. I ripped all my classical, rock, folk, ethnic, audio books etc. collections and distributed the CD’s among my 5 children. Saves clutter around the house. Now I have almost 12,000 tracks on the computer That’s 35 days of continuous listening if I don’t sleep at all. Wow. The same tracks are also all on my iPod which is fun to listen to while getting IVIG. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Audioslave
      CD – Audioslave

It’s the singer from Soundgarden ( Chris Cornell) and the former band (lost the singer, don’t know why) Rage against the Machine. Been going for about 5 years I think the website said. As usual the first CD was the best so far, I think they have a new one coming out…

      Dear Friends:

As a musician, I like a lot of different stuff, for some pretty strange reasons. I can listen to an innovative guitar riff and like a band even if the entire rest of the band sucks like a shop-vac.

Today I listened to Coldplay, Train, Tool, Evanesence, Rage Against the Machine, Janes Addiction, and Billie Holliday. I might listen to Nat King Cole this evening.

      “Bodies”

Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor Beaten why for
      Can’t take much more
One – Nothing wrong with me
Two – Nothing wrong with me
Three – Nothing wrong with me
Four – Nothing wrong with me
One – Something’s got to give
Two – Something’s got to give
Three – Something’s got to give
      Now
Let the bodies hit the floor
      Push me again
      This is the end
Skin against skin blood and bone
You’re all by yourself but you’re not alone
You wanted in now you’re here
Driven by hate consumed by fear
Let the bodies hit the floor

Just as soon as they make it….

DROWNING POOL singer Dave Williams was found dead on the band’s tour bus Wednesday afternoon (August 14th), according to a spokesperson for the group. He was 30 years old.

The Dallas quartet was on tour with Ozzfest when Williams’ body was discovered. Ozzfest had played the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, on Tuesday.

Although presently unconfirmed, sources close to the band believe that Williams may have died from complications resulting after the consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol.

Williams was renowned for being a heavy sleeper, and it is believed that he died in his sleep, possibly choking on his own vomit.

An official cause of death has yet to be determined.

      When I’m gone.
      3 doors down.
      over and over and over

      3 DOORS DOWN LYRICS

      “When I’m Gone”

There’s another world inside of me
      That you may never see
      There’re secrets in this life
      That I can’t hide
      Somewhere in this darkness
      There’s a light that I can’t find
      Maybe it’s too far away…
      Or maybe I’m just blind…

      Or maybe I’m just blind…

      [Chorus]
So hold me when I’m here
      Right me when I’m wrong
      Hold me when I’m scared
And love me when I’m gone
      Everything I am
      And everything in me
      Wants to be the one
      You wanted me to be
      I’ll never let you down
      Even if I could
      I’d give up everything
      If only for your good
So hold me when I’m here
      Right me when I’m wrong
You can hold me when I’m scared
      You won’t always be there
So love me when I’m gone

      Love me when I’m gone…

      When your education X-Ray
      Cannot see under my skin
      I won’t tell you a damn thing
That I could not tell my friends
      Roaming through this darkness
      I’m alive but I’m alone
Part of me is fighting this
But part of me is gone

      [Chorus]

      Or maybe I’m just blind…

      [Chorus]

      Love me when I’m gone…

      Love me when I’m gone
      When I’m Gone
      When I’m Gone
      When I’m Gone

      AudioSlave

      In with the early dawn
      Moving right along
I couldn’t buy an eye full of sleep
      And in the aching night
      Under satellite
      I was not recieved
      built with the stolen parts
      A telephone in my heart
      Someone get me a priest
To put my mind to bed
      This ringing in my head
Is this a cure or is this a disease

      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me life now
      Show me how to live
      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me life now
      Show me how to live

      In the afterbirth
      On the quiet earth
      Let this things remind you
You thought you made a man
      You better think again
      Before my row defies you

      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me a life
Now show me how to live
      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me life now
      Show me how to live

      And in your waiting hands
      I will land
And roll out of my skin
And in your final hours I will stand
      Ready to begin
      Ready to begin
      Ready to begin
      Ready to begin

      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me life now
      Show me how to live
      Nail in my hand
      From my creator
      You gave me life now
      Show me how to live
      Show me how to live

      Planets of the Universe.

The bright light is lying down
The earth and the sea and the sky
Is at rest with the ocean
      And the days go by

They go into the seas that have no shores
Haunted by that same closed door
Looking up at skies on fire
      Leaving nothing left of us
      To discover

      [Chorus:]
And the planets of the universe
      Go their way
Not astounded by the sun or the moon
      Or by the day
You and I will simply disappear
      Out of sight
But I’m afraid soon there’ll be
      No light

      No doubt, no pain
      Come ever again, well
Let there be light in this lifetime
In the cool, silent moments of the nighttime

      [Chorus]

      We will never change again
The way that we are changing
Well, you’ll forget the chill of love
      But not the strain

      Now I know
      Well, I was wrong
      To live for a dream
If I had my life to live over
      I would never dream, no
      I still wish you gone
      And I will live alone
      Yes, I will live alone

      [Chorus]

      You will never love again
      The way you love me
      You will never rule again
      The way you ruled me
      You will never change again
      The way you’re changing

      I Can’t Help Myself.

      Van Zant

I been lost in the darkness for so long,
      I can’t see the life.
I been strung out, burned out, left out,
      An’ hung out to dry.
So I say to myself that I wanna get better:
Hidin’ from the truth, I can’t last forever.

      Jesus, help me;
      Obviously, I can’t help myself:
      I’ve got nobody else.
Send me an angel: someone to strangle,
That old demon that’s hauntin’ me there on the shelf.
      I can’t help myself.

An’ my excuses are so old an’ tired:
      Hell, I forgot ’em.
I keep fallin’, an’ crawlin’, an’ drownin’
      Down here on the bottom.
Yeah, I’ve pushed back my brothers, said goodbye to my friends:
When you get in this deep, the hell never ends.

      Jesus, help me;
      Obviously, I can’t help myself:
      I’ve got nobody else.
Send me an angel: someone to strangle,
That old demon that’s hauntin’ me there on the shelf.
      I can’t help myself.

Gimme a reason to live an’ show me a sign.
I’m on the edge goin’ out of my mind.
I’m down on my knees: I’m beggin’ you please,
Make me somebody else: I can’t help myself.

      Instrumental Break.
      (No!)

      I need something stronger:
      Pour it all over me.

Send me an angel: someone to strangle,
      That old demon:
‘Cause you know that I never will.
      I can’t help myself.
      Lord, I can’t help myself.

Right now I’m listening to Chicken Train by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Some people say the Ozark Mountain Daredevils are the Mozarts of Hillbilly music. I disagree. Here is my list of reasons the the Ozark Mountain Daredevils are actually better than Mozart:

-Mozart was never invited to a hoot-a-nanny.

-No one was so enthralled by a Mozart concert that they stood on their chair and yelled “Yeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaw!!”

-Try as he might, Mozart never got that harmonica to make chicken noises.

_The Ozark Mountain Daredevils had lyrics you could relate to. Stuff like your pick-up truck leaving and your wife getting stolen. Mozart didn’t even have lyrics.

      Dear Vmac:

Of course I know that Mozart wrote lyrics, and some pretty zippy ones at that. He had a Turkish….ah….how do you say it delicately….horizontal gymnasium as the setting of one of his operas. But is opera real music or just something guys must endure in order to win the affections of a woman? Sort of a trial by fire.

Anyway, Bach wrote music before lyrics were invented, so I can cut him some slack. I am almost 100% sure that if he did write lyrics, he would write some real cool lyrics like “scuse me while I kiss the sky” or “plastersine porters with looking glass eyes”. Why? Well I’m glad you asked. Because Bach was either insane or on heavy drugs. “How can you know that?” you may ask. Well I’m glad you asked that. How else can you explain his haircut? I rest my case.

      Dear Vmac:

Oh by the way, I heard your teeth gnashing all the way down here in Oregon City. I just thought it was the lead chainsaw solo from Rage Against the Machine.

Right now I am listening to Marc Anthony’s love songs. That will be followed by a 50’s Doo Wop cd.
