something new about iVIG

      the new neuro also mentioned to me that they are trying to do IVIG in an injection now rather the IV. She didnt have alot of info on it b/c she said it was a brand new thing and she hadnt gotten alot of detail about it yet.

      anyone heard of this ?

      Hi Stacey,
      I do not know if you are refering to sub q OR there was in fact an article I read about 18 months ago that suggested they were isolating exactly what cidp people needed out of the ivig and administering it via shot as opposed to iv. I never did follow up on it because I figured when it was ready we would here about it. Not to mention I would wait some time before I gave it to Kevin. If you find out any info PLEASE let us know. By the way, how are you!

      My nurse says he does subcutaneous IVIg for some of his patients, CIDP and others with autoimmune diseases, rather than immune deficiency for which Sub-q. is common. If the prednisone doesn’t help the meningitis we might try that he says its very easy for me to administer myself.
