I have tried neurontin and it gave me tremors, nystagmus and even a tongue tremor and I have tried lyrica which makes me so sleepy I cant even function and now I am trying this savella. I dont know what catorgory drug it is. I dont think it is an anticonvulsiant. I dont even think it is typically given for nerve pain but its worth a try.

narcotics although they elevate my mood, they are completely ineffective. i was piggy backing 4 mgs of morphine with 10 mgs of oxycodone every two hours and didnt even touch it.

right now it feels like someone is stabing me in the shoulder blade and it radiates down my arms and into my hands. grrr.

I guess it might be time to say that tremors arent so bad. I know I am going to have to compromise at some time with side effects.

      Hi.

Savella, or under its generic name milnacipran HCl, is one of the newer drugs being used for fibromyalgia. Webmd says: ‘Savella belongs to a class of drugs called serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), which include some antidepressants’. As with many drugs, if it works for something else that’s thought to be autoimmune, it will often be tried for CIDP.

Let us know how it goes.
