I’m currently reading a new book, about chronic pain. It’s “The Pain Chronicles” by Melanie Thernstrom, and I HIGHLY recommend it! For one thing, it offers validation on some level, as I read and understand that I’m NOT the only one, I’m NOT crazy, and there is hope! The book covers a lot of history about pain, society’s views on it, the history of pain management, etc. That said, it does not read like a text book; I find it easy to maintain interest in it. You may want to check it out. (Literally…I got a copy from the local library…:D )
Just wanted to throw that out there…
