Hi I’m new here, and first I want to thank everyone because all your posts have given me such an education on GBS/CIDP that even the doctors haven’t been able to provide.

Has anyone found a NYC Neurologist that specializes in GBS/CIDP??? or has treated several cases???

The Neurologists I’ve come across have been very green on the subject and sadly I seem to know more than they do about it.
I need more answers and I’m not happy with the answers I’ve received thus far. I have learned far more from all of you than I have from the doctors I’ve seen.

Thank You for sharing with me it has helped me far more than anything else
      Lisa

Contact the Foundation Office at 610-667-0131. They should be able to provide the information you are looking for. There are also several NYC foundation liaisons divided up by city area. Ask the office for the one to contact based on where you live in the city.

I have had good luck with the senior neuro team. It’s a teaching hospital but the staff has been excellent. These two doctors have been a blessing in my treatment with GBS.

Yes, I concur with Wanda. Dr. Latov is a world-expert and is associated with Cornell and their Peripheral Neuropathy Center. The Phone number is 646 962 3202. My doctor at the center is Dr. Russell Chin. He’s an expert as well.

They are just terrific and informative. CIDP and GBS are their specialties and they are also involved with research.

      Good luck!

      Hi Lisa,
Just wondering if you’ve been to Dr. Latov yet and what your experience was? Have you found anyone else?
I am also in New York City, and despite the fact that there seem to be so many experts here, I don’t feel satisfied with many of my experiences.
