Hey Can Anyone Explain To Me What The Recidules Are? Muscle Twitching. Feeling Nervous, Legs Weak, Are These Some Of The Signs?
Tired Have Been Resting. I Got Real Upset When The Winter Storm Came Through Here. Lost Power Around 10pm Didn’t Come Back On Until 8 The Next Morning. Turned Oven On To Keep Our Home Warm. Also The School In Which Ny Daughter Goes To Decided To Keep Having Volleyball Practice Even Though We Had Freezing Rain And Sleet Going On At That Time.
Am I Having These Problems Because I Got So Upset And Nervous? Worried?

Hi Karla,
Those definitely sound like residuals to me. How long ago did you have GBS? My fiance Ben had it almost two years ago and has just started experiencing residuals. He was prescribed Quinine for the muscle twitching. You can also get Quinine in tonic water, but I’ve heard it tastes bitter.
I’m sorry to hear your electricity went out. We’ve been real fortunate that we’ve never had those kind of problems when a storm has come through.
Take care!

yes. they are definitely residuals. i’m 5 years post gbs and still have all of what you mentioned. getting depressed and worried is also part of it. that’s why we’re here. we’ve all been through it and know what’s to be expected as far as residuals go. it’s hard to deal with these issues sometimes, but please always remember, you’re not alone.

hi karla,
residuals can be fatigue, pain, symptoms of a real gbs attack like you’ve had in the past or even ones you have not previously experienced. big time rest & staying strees free will keep them to a minimum. take care. be well.
