Nightmare Train Ride: Part II – 3 Scenes

Note: The windows were filthy inside and out and there was glare from above, behind and in front……and we were constantly being thrown around by the awful tracks….but I “struggled mightily” and took hundreds of shots to get a few that can be shown!
When I awoke (again) there was light showing through the curtains, so I grabbed a quick shot of the morning at sunrise:

Thanks for sharing, Ken. We took Amtrak from Omaha, NE to Stockton, CA a number of years ago. That train was cleaner than you describe, but I remember some of the things we saw were not from the nicest viewpoints. It was a good experience for our family though. 🙂

Stockton was our departure/arrival station too.Aside from all the other “factors”, the trains we took were all FULL, and on the last leg from Bakersfield to Stockton it was OVERBOOKED, so some passengers had to stand!
